What We Liked, What We Did Not

Pluses

  • Four paid orders, four finished on schedule - a clean run on a marketplace where quality moves seller by seller.
  • Average pickup of 25 minutes across those four, quick enough that you are not sitting on the order page all evening.
  • 13 titles under one account, Valorant and CS2 through to Deadlock and GTA 6, so a niche pick does not send you hunting elsewhere.
  • Floor prices stay low: $9 a division on TFT, $10 on League, Fortnite, Overwatch, Apex Legends and Marvel Rivals, $11 on Valorant, CS2, Dota 2 and Faceit.

Minuses

  • Look at the review split before anything else: 85% five-star and 14% one-star out of 30,207, with next to nothing between them. Buyers here either get a smooth order or they get silence.
  • Quality travels with the individual seller, so praise written last month tells you about that one profile and nobody else on the site.
  • No company stands behind your purchase. Money questions go through the platform's dispute queue, and that route rewards patience as much as it rewards being right.

FunPay Quick Facts

How you payYou pay the marketplace, which holds the balance until the job is signed off: e-wallet top-ups, cards and crypto, with the exact list varying by country.
Refund termsFunds sit with the platform until you confirm delivery, and anything contested goes through its arbitration flow. Individual sellers carry no written guarantee of their own.
Played on your loginMost listings are account work - you hand over the login. A minority of sellers offer duo or coaching, so read the listing text before you pay.
Account securityNothing standardised across sellers. The careful ones ask about your region and keep to sensible playing hours; your own 2FA handling and a password update afterwards do the rest.
Titles covered13 titles, among them Valorant, CS2, Deadlock and Dota 2.
Support channelsSeller chat first, platform tickets and the dispute queue behind it. Speed on the first line depends entirely on who you picked.
Entry pricingFrom $9 per division on TFT; Valorant, CS2, Dota 2 and Faceit open at $11, Deadlock and GTA 6 at $12.
Trading sinceDomain on record since September 2009, which puts it among the older addresses we cover.

Is FunPay Safe to Order From?

Ordering here means trusting a stranger with your login, and that is the whole exposure in one sentence. Your money is reasonably covered, since the platform sits on it until you confirm delivery. Your account is a separate question with a separate answer. Read seller history before you look at price: completed order count, how recent the last sale is, and what the unhappy buyers actually wrote. A profile with hundreds of closed sales and two complaints behind it is a different proposition from a fresh listing undercutting everyone.

On the game side, no marketplace can make a boosted account look untouched to Riot or Valve, and the chance of a penalty stays on the table however careful the seller plays. What you control is the handover itself. Agree the playing hours in chat, keep the account away from anything you would hate to lose, and update the password as soon as the seller signs off. Across our 4 paid runs nobody asked for more than the login, and none of them ran past the deadline we had agreed on before paying.

Step by Step

  1. Open the game category and work through the seller cards with the price column ignored for a minute. Completed orders, rating count and the date of the last sale carry more signal than the headline figure.
  2. Message the seller before any money moves. Pin down the scope, the hours they intend to play and how they will report progress. Somebody who answers a scoping question quickly tends to answer a problem the same way.
  3. Pay through the site so the balance stays with the platform, then hand over what the listing requires: login details for account work, or a queue invite if you bought duo. Across our four runs the average wait from that point to a seller getting started was 25 minutes.
  4. Check the rank yourself when the seller reports done, release the funds, leave an honest rating, then update your password and re-secure the account.

What It Costs

Sellers set their own rates, so the figures in our table mark the floor and nothing more: $9 a division on TFT, $10 on League, Fortnite, Overwatch, Apex Legends and Marvel Rivals, $11 on Valorant, CS2, Dota 2 and Faceit, $12 on Deadlock and GTA 6. Push toward the high brackets and the asking price climbs steeply, because the handful of sellers who can genuinely take you there know exactly what that skill is worth.

Set that against Eloboss and the shape of the offer changes: $5 a win, billed per result instead of per bracket, which suits a player who wants two or three wins and no long climb. FunPay takes the floor price. It gives up predictability in exchange, since two sellers listing identical work can quote you wildly different figures on the same afternoon.

Help and Contact

Your first line is the seller's own chat, and that is where a question either gets answered in minutes or drifts. Which of those you get depends on who you picked. Behind it sits platform support and the dispute queue, slower by design, but the only lever that actually moves money. One of the two reviews we kept for this page comes from a buyer left without any reply after a purchase, and that is the complaint big marketplaces attract most.

The volume gives the counterweight: 30,207 Trustpilot reviews at 4.4 stars, and a buyer with roughly 50 purchases behind him describing support as patient and quick. Both accounts hold up at once, which is what an open seller marketplace looks like from the buyer's side.

FunPay FAQs

How quickly does a seller actually start work?

25 minutes was our average across four paid orders, timed from the payment clearing to the first message confirming they were in. That is decent for a marketplace, though it averages four data points: a seller with a free evening can be in within minutes, while a popular one may leave you waiting out their backlog.

What is the realistic risk to my account here?

Two separate risks, and they behave differently. Riot, Valve and the rest can penalise a boosted account whatever the seller does, so that one you either accept or you skip boosting altogether. Risk number two sits with the seller himself, credentials in a stranger's hands, and that one you manage by reading history, agreeing terms in chat and re-securing the account the moment it comes back.

How long until the rank actually moves?

Ask for a per-day pace before you pay and hold the seller to it in writing. Listings are priced by division and most sellers will give you a daily estimate on request. All four of our orders closed by the deadline we agreed on, which is the only duration figure we can put our own number behind.

What happens if the seller stops replying mid-order?

Open a dispute while the balance is still held by the platform - that protection is the entire reason to pay on-site instead of sending cash into a chat window. Budget time for it, and keep screenshots of what was agreed. One of the reviews on this page is that exact scenario, from a buyer who got nothing back after his purchase.

Why is the entry price lower than a staffed shop?

Because you are paying an individual, not a company carrying support staff, refund liability and a brand to protect. $9 a division on TFT or $10 on League is what a solo seller can charge with no overhead behind him. The saving comes back at you the day something breaks and your only escalation path is a dispute form.

Marketplace or a dedicated service - which would you order from?

For a cheap one-division nudge, or a title nobody staffed covers properly, the marketplace math works in your favour. For a climb you care about, we would point you at Eloboss first: 97 on our scale against FunPay's 87, pickup averaging 7 minutes where this one takes 25, and entry at $5 a win, so you buy a result and not a bracket you might not finish. You give up FunPay's listing breadth and the occasional bargain to get there.
